Comet 17P/Holmes animation
On 24-th October 2007 a strange astronomical event occurred: the brightness of Comet 17P/Holmes increased a billion times during one day.
Before 24-th October the brightness was 17m (lower then the brightness of Pluto). After the flash it became visible to the naked eye and became as bright as Pole Star.

The aim of this site is to gather data for creating the detailed animation of the Comet 17P/Holmes movement and transformation.
